Essay 2-02b: Enjoy Learning Languages!!

I have learned a lot of foreign languages, for example, Japanese, English, Spanish and Korean. I think that it is difficult to learn foreign languages, but nevertheless it is so interesting and important things for me. I began to learn Spanish and Korean since I entered university. As to English, I have learned for 7 years, but I am not good at speak English well. When I learn foreign languages, I realize that it is important to figure out Japanese. I tell you about my chronological language learning experiences.


When I was elementary school student, I like to learn Japanese, including Kanji. I was interested in America, when I was ten years old. It is the reason that I set off learn English. There are a lot of pictures and the Stars and Stripes of America in my room on that time. However, I didn’t have opportunity to learn English then. When I graduate from elementary school, I buried time capsule at ground with my classmate. I got picture of “Twin Tower” into the time capsule in order to don’t forget that incident.


Next, I tell you about my junior high school days. I started to learn English at this time. At first I learned alphabet. It is the base, but I delighted to learn it. When I was thirteen years old, I took part in English seminar because of I was recommended my English teacher to join it. I could good experience there. It was my first time that I come in contact with a foreigners, so I remember that I was keyed up over to speak English with them. I made friends with other participants them.


I went cram school, after I entered to high school. Since was more difficult that the English class. In addition to English, I learn Japanese classic and Chinese classic. I was particularly poor at Japanese classic. However, I belonged to humanistic class, I did spend much time on these classes.


Now, I am learning English as my specialty at university. I have four classes relate to English, and these are reading, listening, speaking and writing. These are not so easy for me, but it is a challenging content.
I am especially poor at speaking, so I teach Japanese to overseas student with my friend in English. It is pretty difficult thing, but I will try to progress with my English. When I was a freshman in university, I learned Spanish as a second language. It was so difficult for me, for example pronunciation and spelling. I could learn Spanish culture as well as language. I also learn Korean since this year. Korean close to Japanese in some respects, so it is easer compared with other languages. Since I want to know about Korean culture and language, I exchanging letter with my Korean friend. It is so interesting, so I will keep it!!


I will tell you about the reason why did I start to learn Korean. I like the K-pop singer when I was junior high school student, so I was interested in Korea. My favorite Korean singer is TOHOSHINKI, and their chorus is amazing!! I have many favorite songs, so I can't select the best song. Therefore, I would like to hear their songs. Regrettably, I have never been to Korea, so I want to go to Korea very much!!


Next, I tell you about my favorite Western music is "Man In The Mirror" that is Michael Jackson's song. I especially like the words. My best language is Korean, because Korean is similar to Japanese. Opposite to it, I am poor at Spanish, because it is difficult for me to speak with a trill. I want to learn English and Korean with my friends harder than present.


Finally, I often listen to Western music and K-pop. It helps to memorize a word in common use and pronunciation. It is important things that we are exposed different culture. If we figure out them, we can find other side of own country. I want to learn more other languages from now on!!

My favorite shoes

There are so many kinds of shoes. It is difficult for me to find one, that fit to oneself. My favorite shoes are boots, so I have 6 kinds of them, for example, long or short, high heels or low heels and fur. I always change the design according to situation and clothes. However, I usually put on my boots only winter. As for summer, I always choose light and low heels, because I have to walk a long-distance a day. I want to put on high heels, but it in reality it is difficult. In fact, I think that the best shoes are sneakers when I walk a long time. Therefore, I would like to wear sneakers, but I don’t have clothes that are match with it. I will try to wear casual clothes.

BR 2-08: Five Short plays

There are five short plays, and all plays are so interesting. I like the second play the most. When I read it, I found a man’s mind. There are some characters. We usually give mutual help to each other, but when it comes to the point, we shift the responsibility onto others. For example, a man is lying in the street, and there are three people including you. Can you help him that you carry the ball? Actually, it is difficult thing that you instruct someone to call an ambulance, for example. However, after few minutes, a woman came and she instructed each people to treatment. Therefore, he recovered from his illness, and then three people admired each other. It is a great to act of kindness.

BR 2-07: One Thousand Dollars

Now, I will tell you about a rich man. His name is Richard Rockwell, and he was madly in love. He was suffering from proposal to her, because she is going to Europe for two years. He talked about it with his father, and then his father said, “Money can buy most things. You say that money can’t buy time?” to him. If you were Richard, which do you agree with he or his father? I don’t think that money can buy most things, but money is also important thing like a love. Therefore, I don’t choose love or money. It may doesn’t find an answer. Finally, Richard could tell her that he loved her. Money can’t buy time… I believe so. Please read it!!

My favorite TV shows

I have a lot of favorite TV shows, so I will tell you about two shows. I like American dramas, so I often watch them, for example, UGLY BETTY and SEX AND THE CITY. Both of them are series, and these are popular with American people. First, one of the highlight of the UGLY BETTY is clothes. Betty is main character of this story and she works at MODE that is publishing company of fashion magazine. Therefore, each characters dress in stylish and original clothes. That is so wonderful!! When you watch this drama, please check it. Next, I will tell you about SEX AND THE CITY. This drama describes four women’s life and their friendship. Whenever I watch it, I learn the moral from the story, because they also learn the moral from their mistakes and experiences.

My favorite car

Today, I tell you about my favorite cars. I have two favorite cars. First, I like Prius that is produced by TOYOTA. My father’s car is Prius. It is hybrid and 144 countries sell it. It has two kinds of engines, gasoline engine and motor engine. Accordingly, it is well known as fuel-efficient cars, and it is also environment-friendly. However, it has the defects of noiseless. It is strong point, but nevertheless it is disadvantageous point. Second, I also like hummer, but I think that I will never ride it. Since it was finished to sale. H2 is the most favorite design for me, and I especially like limousine in the model of H2. In the future, I want to have an environment-friendly car.

BR 2-06: New Yorkers

Do you know O Henry? She wrote this book. There are stories about some New Yorker’s life. First of all, there is a person who is more precious than oneself to one couple. They sold their precious things because of they buy a Christmas present for each other. Since they were so poor, the woman sold her beautiful hair, and the man sold his watch. If I were she, I couldn’t part with my treasure for others. However, I want to be so in the future. The other story is mysterious. There is a man that he worked hard as famous lawyer. One day, he suddenly lost his memory even his wife. He goes back to the drawing board his life as another person. It is so mysterious story, but some people want to start afresh their life. We should not lose control ourselves.

BR 2-05: Sister Love

Do you have brother or sister? I have two older sisters, and I am friendly with them. However, I didn’t good relationship with them, when I was an elementary school student, because I was a spoilt child. The difference of age between my sister and I is 7. It was a bother to me before, but now I can consult with my sister about a matter. I am grateful to them for it. However, when I read a book, I was displeased with the content, because younger sister deprived an older sister of her boyfriend. The younger sister was more beautiful than older sister, so she was confident in herself. I think that there weren’t sisterly love. I want to cherish my precious sisters.

My favorite flower

I have a lot of favorite flowers and it is different by season. First, spring is the cherry blossom, and I especially like weeping cherries. I go out to see the cherry blossoms every year at Kumamoto castle. There are many cherries and it is so beautiful. Second, summer is sunflower, because these turn on the Sun. I’m borne up by the sight. Third, fall is cosmos. There are many cosmoses on the river near my house. Finally, winter is poinsettia. When I see it, I have a realization to come up the Christmas. The most my favorite flower is rose. I like the fragrance of roses, so I often wreathe the room with them. When I see flowers, I always feel good.
